Update on Good Health WINs

9/9/24

The Bridge Access Program officially ended August 31, 2024. Please discontinue use of the Bridge Access QR Code.

Good Health WINs will now focus primarily on respiratory illnesses:

• Covid-19

• Flu

• RSV

• Pneumococcal

The launch of respiratory season programs was in collaboration with the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases. The GHWs Respiratory Roll-Out was the focus of CoP 83 on September 5, 2024.

According to GHWs, as we approach the respiratory season, the importance of preparedness cannot be overstated. The challenges posed by respiratory illnesses, such as COVID-19, flu, RSV, and pneumococcal are compounded by ongoing public health efforts.

Below are several outstanding resources that were shared during CoP 83, including the GHWs Respiratory Resource Guide (flipbook). These resources will be crucial tools in educating, empowering, and supporting the communities we serve. Together, we can educate ourselves and ensure that essential information and vaccines reach those who need them most.

Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated Chapters are now asked to focus on efforts, programs and projects to encourage members of our communities to get vaccinated against these respiratory illnesses. Please continue to apply for mini grants to combat respiratory illnesses.

Community of Practice 84, scheduled for Thursday September 19, 2024, is GHWs Certificate Program Module 6 titled “Leveraging Trust to Impact Vaccine Advocacy.” This important session will focus on how building trust can be a critical factor in driving vaccine advocacy efforts within communities. GHWs will explore key strategies and successful approaches that leverage relationships, credibility, and outreach to make a meaningful impact. This is also your opportunity to receive your sixth (6th) and final certificate in the GHWs Certificate Program series.

ETA PHI BETA SORORITY,  INCORPORATED

ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH NCNW

It is a great privilege to receive a federal grant and announce our partnership with NCNW on the WINs initiative.  WINs stand for Women’s Immunization Networks.  Our partnership began on April 1, 2023, and will expire on March 31, 2024.  Every Region and U.S.-based Chapter of our Sorority will have an opportunity to impact our community with our participation in the project.  The goals of Eta Phi Beta’s participation are to increase the availability of messages that resonate with Black and Hispanic communities; to increase the range of trusted community voices (our voices) supporting vaccine education and vaccine delivery; to increase the number and diversity of vaccination opportunities; to increase the number of partnerships or collaborative activities between providers and community organizations (like Eta Phi Beta); and to implement strategies to increase vaccine confidence and reduce racial and/or ethnic disparities in adult vaccination coverage.  Share this exciting news with all of our Employers, Schools, Universities, Families, Friends, Churches, Affiliates, Healthcare Providers, and Community Partners and invite them to join us as we raise awareness on the impact of timely immunizations.

**Branded Event Flyers are available in the “Member Files” section of the website.
